OUR HISTORY
During the 1988 Liberian Civil War, Rev. William and Mother Maude Pennoh took in children abandoned or orphaned on their way to refugee camps.
As the war’s first phase ended, Rev. William and Mother Maude refused to leave these children alone in the streets. Bringing them into their own home began what would become ‘Hope for Liberian Christian Youth Foundation’.
The organization partnered with UNICEF to establish its first orphanage houses.
Hope for Liberian Youth aims to offer hope and a brighter future to orphaned children, supplying food, clothing, education, salvation and housing.
OUR MISSION
